This year marks five years of C&B Recruitment. What makes that milestone more meaningful is that the business was launched during COVID, at a time when uncertainty was high across the motor trade and recruitment as a whole.

Manchester continues to be one of the strongest areas in the UK for automotive jobs. With a large number of main dealers, independent garages, and specialist workshops, demand for skilled people across the motor trade remains high. The city’s growth, transport links, and relatively affordable living costs compared to the South have all helped keep the job market active.

The UK motor trade continues to face a shortage of skilled vehicle technicians. It’s an issue that affects workshops, dealerships, and candidates across the country, and it shows no sign of slowing down. Over recent years, demand for experienced technicians has grown faster than the number of people entering the trade, creating a very competitive market.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working on a new and updated website for C&B Recruitment. Since launching the new site, we’ve already seen an increase in applications for roles, along with more enquiries from both candidates and employers.
