About Profile

This candidate is a highly experienced SMART Repair Manager with more than 15 years’ experience across bodyshop operations, cosmetic vehicle repairs and SMART repair management within the automotive sector. Their background combines strong technical SMART repair expertise with hands-on management experience overseeing workshop operations, technician performance and profitability within busy bodyshop environments.

Originally progressing through the industry as a SMART Repair Technician, they developed extensive hands-on experience carrying out bumper repairs, paint refinishing, alloy wheel refurbishment and cosmetic vehicle repairs before progressing into leadership and management positions within automotive bodyshop operations.

Most recently working within a Bodyshop Controller and SMART Repair management role, they were responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations including allocating work to technicians, creating job cards, estimating repair costs and managing invoicing processes through Kerridge systems. Their experience also includes stock control, sourcing additional repair work and supporting insurance assessments using Audatex.

A major strength is their ability to improve workshop performance and profitability. Within their previous management role they played a key part in improving operational efficiency and returning a previously loss-making site back into profit through improved organisation, quality control and staff management.

They are highly experienced liaising with Sales Managers, workshop staff and customers while maintaining high repair standards and ensuring work is completed efficiently and professionally. Alongside strong management ability, they also remain technically hands-on with extensive experience across SMART repair, paint spraying, colour matching and cosmetic refinishing.

Professional, reliable and highly motivated, they are now looking for a long-term SMART Repair Manager opportunity within a progressive automotive bodyshop or dealership group where they can continue leading workshop teams and delivering high-quality cosmetic repair operations.
