About Profile

This candidate is a highly experienced HGV Technician with more than 25 years working across commercial vehicle workshops, transport operations, heavy engineering and specialist mechanical environments. Their background combines dealership-level HGV repair experience with extensive hands-on knowledge of servicing, diagnostics, MOT inspections and fleet maintenance across a wide range of heavy vehicles.

Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 standard, they have worked within both main dealer and fleet workshop environments carrying out servicing, repairs, MOT preparation and inspections on trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles. Their experience includes tail lift inspections, weight testing, diagnostics and preventative maintenance while ensuring vehicles remain compliant, safe and operational.

A major strength is their broad technical background across multiple industries including transport, heavy engineering, offshore systems and specialist mechanical operations. This has helped develop excellent fault-finding ability across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems alongside strong problem-solving skills within fast-paced workshop environments.

Alongside their workshop experience, they also hold a Class 1 HGV licence and have worked within transport and logistics operations, giving them strong understanding of fleet operations, compliance and vehicle downtime management. They are highly adaptable, practical and comfortable working independently or as part of a wider engineering team.

Reliable, hardworking and extremely experienced within the commercial vehicle sector, they are now looking for a long-term HGV Technician opportunity within a professional workshop environment offering stability and strong earning potential.
