HGV Technician

This candidate is a Level 3 qualified Engineering Technician with strong experience across heavy vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repair within high-pressure engineering environments. Their background includes more than six years working extensively on MAN heavy vehicles and specialist wheeled platforms, developing excellent technical knowledge and fault-finding ability across complex systems.

Their experience covers all aspects of HGV servicing, preventative maintenance and repair work, including engine diagnostics, hydraulic systems, driveline repairs, suspension, braking systems and electrical fault diagnosis. They are highly confident using technical manuals, wiring diagrams and diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults efficiently while maintaining high engineering and safety standards.

A major strength is their ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure within demanding operational environments. They are experienced prioritising urgent repairs, maintaining fleet availability and supporting workshop productivity while adhering to strict compliance procedures and engineering regulations.

Alongside technical capability, they have also developed leadership and mentoring experience within workshop teams, supporting junior technicians and assisting with structured maintenance programmes. Their approach is professional, reliable and team-focused, with strong commitment to maintaining quality standards and completing work safely and efficiently.

They are now looking to transition fully into the commercial vehicle sector where they can continue developing their career as an HGV Technician within a progressive workshop environment.
