About Profile

This candidate is a highly skilled HGV Technician with strong experience across commercial vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and engineering environments. Their background combines dealership-level HGV repair knowledge with extensive mechanical and electrical engineering experience gained within high-pressure operational environments.

Currently working within a busy commercial vehicle dealership, they are responsible for MOT preparation, servicing, inspections, diagnostics and major mechanical repairs across HGVs and buses. Their day-to-day duties include diagnosing mechanical failures, carrying out electrical diagnostics using schematic diagrams and ensuring all repairs are completed in line with DVSA and VOSA standards.

A major strength is their advanced technical and engineering knowledge. Fully qualified within engineering maintenance and mechanical engineering disciplines, they have extensive experience fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems while maintaining high workshop standards and accurate digital repair documentation.

Their previous engineering background involved leadership responsibilities, maintenance forecasting and managing repair operations within fast-paced environments where organisation, safety and efficiency were critical. This has helped develop excellent problem-solving ability, leadership skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Professional, reliable and technically very strong, they are confident communicating with both colleagues and customers while providing updates and technical explanations regarding repairs and vehicle condition. They are now looking for a long-term HGV Technician opportunity within a progressive commercial vehicle workshop.
