About Profile

This candidate is a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician with more than 10 years’ experience working across commercial vehicle workshops, tanker maintenance and heavy vehicle repair environments. Their background combines strong mechanical repair knowledge with hands-on experience carrying out MOT preparation, diagnostics, servicing and specialist ADR tanker repairs.

Currently working within a busy HGV workshop operation, they are responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of tanker vehicles including chemical tanks, fuel tankers and skeletal trailers. Their day-to-day duties include MOT preparation, inspections, preventative maintenance and repair work while ensuring all vehicles remain compliant and operational.

A major strength is their practical workshop experience and adaptability across different types of heavy vehicles and repair work. Throughout their career they have also completed welding repairs, diagnostics, PMI inspections and body building work alongside decommissioning and refurbishment tasks within fast-paced commercial vehicle environments.

They are highly confident working independently or as part of a workshop team and are comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines and minimise vehicle downtime. Their stable industry background demonstrates strong reliability, commitment and excellent understanding of workshop procedures and HGV compliance standards.

Professional, hardworking and technically capable, they are now looking for a long-term HGV Technician opportunity within a progressive commercial vehicle business closer to home.
