About Profile

This candidate is a highly experienced HGV Technician with a long-standing background across commercial vehicle maintenance, fleet engineering and heavy mechanical repair environments. With decades of hands-on workshop experience, they bring excellent technical knowledge, strong fault-finding ability and a practical, hardworking attitude to every role.

Currently working within a busy HGV workshop environment, they are responsible for routine servicing, inspections, MOT preparation and vehicle repairs in line with DVSA and manufacturer standards. Their experience includes diagnosing both mechanical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals, alongside carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and keep fleet vehicles operational.

A major strength is their ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of workmanship and vehicle safety. They are experienced completing repairs and replacements, maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety policies and workshop compliance procedures.

Their career has also included experience across transport operations, engineering environments and heavy equipment maintenance, giving them strong all-round understanding of commercial vehicle systems and workshop operations. Reliable and adaptable, they work equally well independently or as part of a team and are comfortable supporting tight workshop deadlines within fast-paced environments.

Professional, technically minded and committed to delivering quality work, they are now looking for a long-term HGV Technician opportunity within a progressive commercial vehicle business.
