About Profile

This candidate is a highly experienced Service Manager with more than 20 years working within main dealer automotive environments, having progressed through the industry from technician level into senior aftersales leadership positions. Their background combines strong technical understanding with excellent operational and commercial management skills across busy dealership service departments.

They have extensive experience overseeing the daily operation of service departments, including workshop loading, labour sales, productivity, efficiencies, service plans, CSI performance and customer retention. Financially aware and highly analytical, they are confident managing budgets, analysing departmental profitability and implementing strategies to improve performance and upsell opportunities.

A major strength is their hands-on management style and ability to support all areas of the department when required, including workshop control, front desk operations, MOT administration and customer service. Their experience also includes recruitment, training, quality control, health and safety management and handling complex customer complaints professionally and efficiently.

Technically grounded with previous experience as a technician, MOT tester and workshop controller, they understand dealership operations from both operational and workshop perspectives. They have also achieved national recognition for customer satisfaction performance and have worked closely with manufacturer warranty teams and head office operations.

Professional, adaptable and highly reliable, they are now looking for a stable long-term Service Manager opportunity following redundancy.
