About Profile

This candidate is a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician with strong experience across workshop-based and mobile commercial vehicle repair environments. Their background combines dealership-level diagnostics with extensive hands-on experience carrying out servicing, breakdown repairs, welding and hydraulic maintenance across HGVs, transport fleets and specialist equipment.

Currently working as a self-employed Mobile HGV Technician, they carry out mobile servicing, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across a wide range of commercial vehicles. Their experience includes 24-hour breakdown attendance, on-site repairs, mobile diagnostics and welding and fabrication work, helping keep customer fleets operational and minimising downtime.

A major strength is their broad technical capability across both workshop and field-based environments. Throughout their career they have worked extensively on car transporters, hydraulic systems, forklifts and heavy plant equipment alongside carrying out gearbox and engine overhauls, differential repairs and guided diagnostics using specialist manufacturer diagnostic systems.

Their experience also includes LOLER inspections, weight testing, MOT preparation and hydraulic repair work, giving them strong understanding of workshop compliance, safety procedures and commercial vehicle legislation. Technically minded and highly practical, they are confident fault finding across electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems while working efficiently under pressure.

Reliable, hardworking and adaptable, they work well independently or as part of a workshop team and pride themselves on delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service. They are now looking for a long-term HGV Technician role within a progressive commercial vehicle business.
